Jim Bridger: Trailblazer of the American West
By Jerry Enzler
The Life of Jim Bridger stands out among frontiersmen and explorers of the American West. He was a mountain man, an explorer, and a fur trader. He trapped beaver, built an important fort along the Oregon Trail and blazed for gold miners, and other things. He married into the Ute and Shoshone tribes and fathered seven children. His life was filled with drama and history, adding many interchanges with the Mormons along the way.
